SuperDapp’s SUPR Airdrop: How Syscoin Masternodes Can Participate

We recently announced the very exciting airdrop of SUPR, the official upcoming token of SuperDapp which is launching on Syscoin’s Layer 2, Rollux. There are several ways to participate and get some SUPR, and they are listed here. One of the best ways is to own one or more Syscoin masternodes! This article will show you how to participate in the SUPR airdrop with yours, and the sundry benefits of masternode ownership.

How to participate in the SUPR airdrop as a masternode owner

Syscoin Foundation just announced that the Syscoin Masternode EVM Registry desktop web app is live! This is the first known tool of its kind, giving masternode owners the chance to provably assign an EVM address to their masternode(s) to participate in token airdrops like SUPR, and more.

You will use this new tool to register your masternode for the SUPR airdrop.

Link your Rollux address to your masternode by using the Syscoin Masternode EVM Registry
Make sure your masternode collateral stays locked. (see: how to make sure your collateral is locked)
Make sure your masternode stays online and serves the Syscoin network reliably. That’s it!

Do you own more than one masternode? The smart move is to register each of them to get more SUPR! Yes, you can use the same Rollux address for each of them if you wish. Every individual masternode that meets the above criteria will receive the same amount. Stay tuned to learn how much.

Benefits of Owning a Syscoin Masternode

Beyond getting some great SUPR tokens, owning a Syscoin masternode means you earn unique benefits and incentives by contributing key Web3 infrastructure to Syscoin and by extension the Rollux ecosystem. In addition to L1 base block rewards in SYS, Syscoin masternodes also earn seniority over time which brings greater block rewards. After one year, you earn a 35% SYS bonus on top, and after 2.5 years, that increases to 100%. Masternode owners also participate in decentralized governance by voting on monthly funding proposals which helps guide the Syscoin L1 ecosystem. And now, with the Masternode EVM Registry, masternodes also gain the opportunity own stake in the success of EVM-based projects through token airdrops!

Each masternode requires you to hold 100,000 SYS, and to operate a full node at spec which is made very easy by hosting services like AllNodes. The rewards you earn as an owner will be more than enough to cover reasonable hosting costs.
